Principal Corner

My devotion on Sunday started with the question, “How long has it been since you let God have you?” I think it is a fair question for all of us to consider, contemplate and honestly answer. We are not talking about giving your life to ministry of some sort, even though that would be another good question to consider. The writer of the devotion was talking about setting aside some uninterrupted time to pray to God, to give your full attention and spill your heart and then listen to what God has to say to you. When I honestly answer this question, it has been a while since I took time out and fully dedicated it to God. I pray daily, but a lot of the time it is just a minute here, another there, fit it in when I have a moment, or when everything else is done. Or I multitask and pray while doing something else like walking the dog or driving somewhere. Don’t worry, I keep my eyes open when I am praying in those situations. In the summer I get up early to go play golf two to three times a week. I now realize if I can do that, I can get up early on a couple of the other mornings and when the house it quiet I can dedicate that time to talk with God, spill my heart, and then listen for His answer. I feel closer to God today then years ago, and I feel like I know the Bible better as I have read it through a couple of times and continue to read daily. But there is always something we can do better to open our hearts to God and His calling for us. I hope you will join me, (well, please do not show up at my house early in the morning) but join me in setting time aside once or twice a week to have uninterrupted one on one God time. He is waiting for you and ready to hear you.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS:

  • Arriving at school before 8:10 am, please go through the gym unless you are a Preschool parent.

  • At the end of the day, please remain outside and wait for your student. They are released at 3:05 pm.

  • When a child is going to be absent, please send a message via Procare (it gets to both the teacher AND the office) OR make sure you are sending a message to both the teacher and the office if not using Procare.

  • Children cannot be in the school without an adult present. If they are, it is defaulted that they are signed into SAC. There are many different circumstances and we will accommodate whenever necessary.

The Tribute to Trinity committee would like to give thanks to everyone who attended our 10th Tribute to Trinity. We raised over $32,000 for the school. Some of the money raised will be used to replace flooring in three classrooms and a new milk cooler for the kitchen.

Thank you to the businesses who sponsored, Ahavah Cottage for use of their facility, the live and silent auction donations, tickets purchases and of course, the committee who put it all together.

Hope to see you in 2025!
