Principal Corner
We just completed our 18th Fun Run at Trinity Lutheran School. It was a wonderful day. The rain held off for the day, the temperatures were cool, except for some bothersome bees, which have been bad this fall, it was a great day. I remember back at the first meetings of the school year with the teachers. The weather was hot at the end of August and beginning of September when we were getting ready for the school year. A few teachers wondered what if it was too hot, what would we do for the Fun Run? My initial thoughts then was who knows what the weather will be like when we get to the Fun Run. We have had a couple hot Fun Run events. For one, we set up a homemade mist area for students to run through to keep cool. We also had some very cold Fun Run events. I remember one so cold that we had to move the computer that was playing the music inside because the computer was not working well in the cold. We never know what the future will bring. At Trinity school we have the blessing to teach our children one sure message about the future. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ will have eternal life. John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” That is a promise that was guaranteed to us when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. That is a future we can count on.

If you were seen in the past at the Let’s Smile Clinic OR if you haven’t and you would like your child to be seen, click the flier above for the intake form that is due to the school office by Tuesday, Oct 6th. It is being worked out which choir will be performing on which Sunday, this will be updated ASAP.. But Mrs. Hook plans on the 3rd-5th Choir doing the September Performance.

CHAPEL OFFERING: September
During the month of September, we will be raising funds and collecting items for the Crisis Nursery - Mankato Area. We will be focusing on items for out in the cold! The Crisis Nursery could really use mittens or gloves from toddler size all the way to adult. All money collected in September will also be donated to get them $15 Gas cards for families they serve.

NEED PARENT SERVICE HOURS?
Trinity Lutheran School would not run or function without our families and all your hard work! We strive on showing our students a great work ethic and a drive to help and volunteer! Because of this, we ask that each family completes 10 hours of volunteer hours throughout the school year (if you only have a child in the Preschool, we only ask you complete 5 hours). Many events put on by PTL, Athletics and just helping around at the school provide plenty of opportunity to help out! An easy way to help our school is through the Box Tops for Education program. If you have a smart phone, you can do the following to start helping our school earn money.
Download the Box Tops for Education App
Open the app and connect Trinity Lutheran School Janesville (School ID: 84936)
You can pick a class to associate with your earnings (optional)
Buy products on the list and scan your grocery store receipt.
Anyone can earn box tops for Trinity so you can send a referral to aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends and family. If you refer a friend and they download the app both you and the referred person can earn 25 bonus box tops. Box tops are worth 10 cents each. As a bonus, if you have a Walmart account, you can link your Box Tops to your Walmart account and any time you make a purchase at Walmart it automatically adds your box top points for you!
We get money for collected Hy-Vee Receipts!
This money goes directly to our school. For every $150 in Hy-Vee Receipts, the local Hy-Vee donates to schools enrolled in the Kash4Kids program.
RECEIPT GUIDELINES:
Receipts can only be from 9/1/26-5/27/27 – anything from this past summer doesn’t count. Same for next year, don’t collect over the summer, they can only be collected during the months that school is in session.
ONLY Mankato Hy-Vee Locations
NO alcohol, prescription or gift card purchases count.
NO receipts that say “Cancelled” or “Duplicate”.
Hy-Vee had a competition between schools for a bonus amount and we got 2nd place!! YAHOO! More soon on how much we received total from last year.
