Principal Corner
In the first few years after I came to Trinity, a group of men cut down one of the large trees on the playground. The tree looked healthy, but they decided to take it down anyway. They had hooked up a tractor and a long rope, a pull line, to make sure the tree fell in the correct direction when it was cut down. Visible, inside the tree, was a big rotted area, despite the tree looking healthy on the outside. Sometimes we are like that tree. We look healthy on the outside, but there’s so much more happening on the inside. When we are rooted in Christ, when Christ is our rock, the world around us (on the outside) can be going crazy and we can still be calm and sure because we are getting the nutrients we need to sustain a healthy spiritual life (on the inside). We do this by going to church, reading the Bible, doing devotions, and prayer. We help to maintain that stability in our lives and being spiritually healthy helps us all to connect to God‘s word so that we keep that focus on God. Then, having that healthy core (inside), we are healthy, spiritually, and no matter what’s going on around us, we are connected to Christ.
A NO FUSS FUNDRAISER? YES PLEASE
TLS COLOR FUN RUN
RED, WHITE & ROOTED IN CHRIST
Our 18th ANNUAL FUN RUN will take place on Friday, September 25th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. This is the only FUN-draiser in which we ask students to participate. Unlike most fundraisers which require students to sell items, the students are asked to obtain pledges per lap, or donations, from family and friends, and then run laps around the playground. It’s a fantastic fun day. The money raised helps pay for many items needed for our students and keep our school running every year!
We want 100% student participation and have a goal of $20,000. Students can obtain prizes by reaching different levels of donations. We also ask each student to raise a minimum of $50. If we can accomplish that, then maybe something special will happen! All students receive a shirt so that the kids can match the day of the fun run AND can hopefully COLOR their shirt. This year is a color run, so there will be colored chalk to help make their white shirts colorful. We are testing out some options to make the color stick! Stay tuned next week for some tips and tricks!
All donations and forms are due Oct 1st to the classroom teacher, to qualify a student for the classroom prizes! We have a competition every year for the highest per student money raised gets some special treatment!

Communication
Send messages to the office and the teacher simultaneously by choosing “Classroom Chat” in the drop down. Anything that both the teacher and the office might need to know (attendance, late in or leaving early, etc)
Choose “Office Chat” for anything else!
Admin can see both. Teachers can only see classroom. So if you want the teacher to be notified, please message in Classroom Chat.
Billing/Sign In & Out
Billing for before and after care is DIRECTLY tied to sign in & out on Procare.
That is another reason it is so important for you to sign your children in and out, especially for before and after care in all grades.
Billing for tuition and payment plans is done through Procare.
Account balances can be checked in the app and a more detailed line by line account can be seen at www.myprocare.com (same place you completed registration).
Sign In & Out of school - it helps get a signature for those picking students up and keeping track of people allowed to pick up your child from school. Even though they are on the pick up list, we still need to be notified if someone other than the parent/guardian will be picking up a child from school.
Incident Tracking

NEED PARENT SERVICE HOURS?
Trinity Lutheran School would not run or function without our families and all your hard work! We strive on showing our students a great work ethic and a drive to help and volunteer! Because of this, we ask that each family completes 10 hours of volunteer hours throughout the school year (if you only have a child in the Preschool, we only ask you complete 5 hours). Many events put on by PTL, Athletics and just helping around at the school provide plenty of opportunity to help out! Please don’t hesitate to check out the volunteer page on the website: https://seal-leopard-8yt2.squarespace.com/volunteer
