NWEA MAP Testing
NWEA Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) Testing for grades K-8 will take place April 27-May 8. The best way to prepare for MAP testing is to make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats breakfast.
Through this process, we will get a better idea of what the students know. This results in a rewarding experience for the student, and a wealth of detailed information for teachers, parents, and administrators.
MAP Testing presents students with engaging, age-appropriate content. As a student responds to questions, the test responds to the student, adjusting up or down in difficulty. As students answer a question correctly, they get a question of higher difficulty. If the students do not correctly answer the question, the next question will be a little lower in difficulty.

Britt’s Battle to Thrive Benefit
In December 2024, Britt found a lump she thought was a clogged milk duct. After a visit with her OB, a mammogram, biopsy, and PET scan it was discovered that Britt had Stage 3c inflammatory Triple Negative Breast Cancer that spread to her lymph nodes and a possible spot on her spine. The most aggressive breast cancer.
She underwent 12 cycles of chemotherapy, another PET scan and then another 4 rounds of chemo (the “Red Devil”). Britt responded great to chemo! Her next step was a single mastectomy and lymph node dissection that resulted in pathological complete response, which meant no living cancer cells in the breast tissue and lymph nodes they took out. WOOO!
Britt began her radiation treatment and was supposed to be wrapping everything up on September 29 when she started experiencing headaches. She had a brain MRI on September 18 that unfortunately showed numerous brain tumors. This officially made Britt stage 4. Since then, she has gone through 10 whole brain radiation treatments. This is not the outcome they wanted but she will continue to fight on!
Since December, they have made weekly and often daily trips to Rochester for her treatments. Not only with gas, vehicle maintenance, hotel stays, and food costs, the financial burden from continuous treatments and surgery have taken a toll. Your love and support already has been so greatly appreciated, it would be amazing if you could join us for a day of fun! 100% of proceeds from this benefit will go to the Moniz family!
